"Imagined Animals", 2019
I have an interest in filling in the negative space with a transparent sketch of something that represent the figment of my imagination. This is considered as mixed reality in which "merge the virtual and real worlds together to create new environments or visualizations". The subjects are wild animals that I have not ever witness before or have close up experience. I use Wacom pen and tablet to make digital drawings of the animals with the help of the references. The background for each creature is a natural environment found on Virginia Wesleyan’s campus. Also, manipulations are applied on the images including the adjustments to finalize the combination of the drawing and photograph into one clear picture.
